Creator Statement:

I created an interactive map of the geology found in the Fort Myers quadrangle using only python and html programming code. In this interactive map, you can click on any geologic formation and a pop-up showing the description will appear. The depths and formations found in each borehole also appear as a pop-up when you click on any of the boreholes. The cross-section pop-up appears when you click on any of the cross- section lines and this shows the subsurface geologic formations found along that cross-section line. I created this map to help the viewer visualize not only the surficial geology but the sub-surficial, or underground, geology as well.
